This interesting city is located at the inland end of the Sibenik Canal and has a long harbour wall that stretches for much of its water front. The wall is easy to moor against with plenty of space. There is no power and water is only available on request for filling tanks. In south-westerly weather a swell can build up so it is worth taking up a second lazy-line if one is available to moor more securely. There is (during the summer at least) usually a member of harbour staff on hand to take your fees though he has a big area to cover and is not alway visible at first sight. There is also a large commercial harbour at Sibenik to the south-east of the town (Mandelina Marina). The harbour wall is backed by a busy thoroughfare but there are few water front bars so it is actually quite quiet at night. Sibenik is a year round port of entry.
